The California State Railroad Museum is a co-sponsor for the 39th National Narrow Gauge Convention, and they are Hosting the Modular Layouts. Two of the six roundhouse stalls will be cleared out for layouts. Registration for the convention includes a one day pass to the Museum. Those who wish to go again during the convention will only have to pay $5 per entry with the convention badge. Normal price for seeing the Museum is $12. A Bus Pass can be purchased for Thursday and Friday to facilitate travel to and from the CSRM and the DoubleTree Hotel.
The Museum has a support organization, the California State Railroad Museum Foundation (CSRMF), which is an official cooperating association with California State Parks and a 501 (3) c organization. CSRMF provides funding for ongoing support of numerous programs at the California State Railroad Museum in Old Sacramento, Railtown 1897 State Historic Park in Jamestown, and the future Railroad Technology Museum.
Railtown 1897 State Historic Park happens to be where the Double Headed Steam Train ride will take place on Sunday, September 8, 2019.
